Ms. Fulvia Mancini is a professional cellist with an intense focus on bringing classical music to the public of several countries. She began her studies with Egidio Eronico and completed her Diploma with Marianne Chen. She was principal cello of Pierre Amoyal’s ensemble Camerata de Lausanne, with whom she recorded, as soloist, Mozart’s Concertone Grosso for Warner Classics in 2012. International Review of London wrote about her performance: “the cello part, less prominent and seemingly without much complexity, does have moments of technical difficulty, and Mancini brings to it an ideal dexterity and clear focus particularly in awkward string crossings”. Ms. Mancini is also regularly performing with Zurcher Kammer Orchester, playing concerts directed by Sir Roger Norrington. She is the artistic director of the Music Festival “Regina Musica al Castello”, that took place by a beautiful Castle nearby Roma (Maenza) in July 2015.

Ms. Mancini was a member of the first Orchestra "Luigi Cherubini", founded and conducted by Riccardo Muti, and has played both as soloist and in chamber music groups in France, Austria, Croatia, Russia, Switzerland and Malta. In addition, she has collaborated with famous conductors such as Penderecki, Kurt Masur, Barshai, Kavakos. In 2013 she performed with the Moscow Virtuosi under the direction of Vladimir Spivakov at the International House of Music in Moscow and recently performed at the Conservatory hall of Moscow as soloist. Under the direction of Antonio Meneses and Patrick Demenga of whom Fulvia was student, has participated in several masterclasses with Maria Kliegel, Silvia Chiesa, Peter Bruns, Trio di Trieste, Antonio Meneses and Enrico Bronzi

She founded the Duo Athena in 2009 with pianist Irene Puccia and won the finalist prize in the Contest Bad Ragaz Classic, Klassik auf der Strasse among 64 contestants(Chairman of the Jury: Vladimir Ashkenazy). Additionally, she earned First Prize at the Rassegna Musicale "M.Benvenuti" of Vittorio Veneto, Second Prize at the Torneo Internazionale della Musica 2004-2006, and Virtuosité Prize at the Padova International AGIMUS competition 2007. In 2014 Duo Athena recorded a DVD for Crans Montana Sounds and are currently performing in Switzerland and Italy. She has also recorded the CD pop Quintessenza for EMI in 2006.

In the years 2005 - 2010 she obtained two Master’s Degrees in the Swiss Haute Ecoles de Musique and graduated in Law at the University of Bologna.
